Thailand – our dream destination

We decided on a short getaway holiday to Thailand because it was my fiancé’s dream destination and our first international holiday together. We started off our journey at the Deevana Patong Resort & Spa and spent the first day on a city tour of Phuket… exploring the big buddha, Wat Chalong Temple, Honey Farm and Cashew Nut Factory. That evening I surprised my girlfriend with a romantic dinner at the Kalima Resort setup with rose petals overlooking the beach and Phuket city lights… and then I sneaked up behind her with a huge “WILL YOU MARRY ME” balloon. And she said YES! It was like it was out of a real life movie. Day 2 woke us very early to go about on a snorkeling trip on the beautiful Phi Phi Island beaches and we had a delicious Thai lunch at the island of Noodles and Tom Yum Soup. The next day we visited James Bond Island and Panak Island on a canoe trip which took us through caves and it felt so serene… lunch consisted of spicy prawn soup, colorful Sweet & Sour fish, fried chicken and delicious vegetables. We hit the street to Bangla road that night to experience some of the rich Thailand night life and went for a Thai full body massage. Also, we cannot forget the Phuket Trick Eye Museum, it’s got fun interactive 3D paintings and we clicked some good photos! That night we went for the vibrant Phuket FantaSea show, it was a show filled with culture, color and animals. Thereafter, we left to Bangkok for 2 nights we stayed at the Bayioke Sky Hotel which has 84 floors and who was hosting the Durian festival during our stay. The people here are so friendly and accommodating. One of our days we went to Madame Tussaud’s and Sea World, we had such fun posing with the statues and walking through the tunnel aquarium and watching 4D movies like we were kids again. We also visited Ayutthaya ruins and went for a buffet lunch cruise on the Chao Praya river. One of the highlights was the rich culture and temples, it was fascinating learning and being exposed to various elements of the religion. We got up to a lot of shopping at the street night markets and had a lot of tasty street food and met so many friendly people from abroad. We will definitely be back to Thailand 🇹🇭
